SPRINT/ITS
OPEN INTEGRATION PLATFORM
SPRINT/ITS system is an integration platform connecting subsystems of traffic management in cities and on non-urban roads. It was developed using specialized software tools for data visualization called VIZAN.
The SPRINT/ITS/SCATS traffic management system is dedicated for cities - it is an ITS system configured according to specific city needs, while the traffic control layer is based on the SCATS system supplemented with additional functionalities.
The SPRINT/ITS system integrates traffic management functionalities based on subsystems with functions adapted to the specificity of the facility, such as:
- traffic control subsystem with priorities,
- public transport management subsystem,
- video surveillance subsystem,
- ARTR (automatic number plate recognition) subsystem,
- driver information panels subsystem (variable message signs, mobile information, web portal),
- weather station subsystem,
- parking information subsystem,
- detection subsystem
- communications subsystem,
- tunnel traffic control subsystem,
- traffic management center.
Thanks to its modular design and open interfaces for data exchange, the system can be easily extended by adding new functionalities or integrating it with external applications.
SPRINT/ITS system manages road traffic in many cities such as: Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Olsztyn, Chorzów, Bielsko-Biała, Wałbrzych, Tarnów.
