INDISPENSABLE ELEMENT OF SURVEILLANCE AND SECURITY
The project was co-financed by EU funds from the European Regional Development Fund under Regional Operational Program - Lubuskie 2020. The project has been implemented in less than two years.
The subject of the contract was the design, modernization and construction of video surveillance system in IP CCTV technology, including supply of equipment and materials, installation and commissioning of monitoring system in the sub-areas A (City Centre) and D (Gęśnik) of Zielona Góra.
SCOPE OF WORK
As part of the investment in the implementation and expansion of the monitoring system, over 80 cameras transmitting 284 high-resolution video streams have been designed, installed and integrated into the city surveillance system, including: four-lens cameras, four-lens panoramic cameras, single-lens cameras and PTZ cameras. In addition, a mobile camera with a high-speed head was provided, with the possibility of installation on the roof of a car or a pole.
The project included renovation and modernization of the premises for building the Monitoring Center equipped with a video wall consisting of eight 55" monitors managed by two computer stations, three operator stations equipped with manipulators for controlling PTZ cameras, UPS system with battery banks, air conditioning system, access control system, telecommunication cabinet, structured cabling to operator stations and the video wall.
In the GDP (Main Distribution Point) server room, Sprint launched a central monitoring system - IP CCTV platform, installed on four servers - network recorders and one redundant server. The monitoring system has a distributed architecture - it consists of 22 distribution points connected by a fibre-optic network in the structure of a ring and access connections. The backbone of the transmission network was built using the municipal broadband network, whereas the fiber-optic access network was constructed by Sprint.
As part of the project, fiber-optic connections of a total length of over 18 km were built, made in the technology of traditional fiber-optic cables in the teletechnical canalization leased and newly built (over 4 km).
