15 new camera points will be launched in Katowice

The Katowice Intelligent Monitoring and Analysis System (KISMiA) will soon be upgraded with an additional 15 camera points. The new monitoring devices will stand in 8 city districts. The installation will be carried out under the project "Design and construction of camera points integrated into the KISMiA system under councilmen's requests and civic budgets order in 3 parts". Sprint S.A. was selected as the contractor for this task.

The task has been divided into 3 parts, and under each part, cameras will be placed in individual neighborhoods at locations agreed upon with residents. The devices will additionally be equipped with the appropriate software/licenses, and employees will be trained to operate them.

The first new cameras will begin operating as early as January 2023.

(KISMiA) currently consists of 339 cameras. The devices work primarily in the city center but also in several urban districts.

The upgrade of the monitoring system as part of the project we are implementing means that areas previously unreachable by KISMiA will come under the cameras' eye.

The value of the installation and deployment of 15 new camera points in Katowice will amount to PLN 942 000. The project is scheduled for completion in March 2023.
