Sprint responsible for installation of the thermal imaging system on the AmberExpo site

Due to the situation caused by COVID-19, the companies are responsible for providing security not only to their employees but also to their customers. The International Gdańsk Fairs in cooperation with Sprint, met these requirements by installing a thermal imaging system on the fair grounds.

On 26-29.08.2020, the 27th International Amber and Jewelry Fair - AMBERIF 2020 took place in AmberExpo. It is the most important amber exhibition in the world and the largest jewellery event in Central and Eastern Europe. During this event, Sprint was responsible for the installation of a demonstration system consisting of: thermal imaging camera, black body, two IN and OUT counting cameras, a DVR and monitors operated by the Operator.

The system is designed to ensure the safety of fair participants by analysing the body temperature of each person passing through the gates. The system sends out notifications in case a visitor has a higher temperature or does not observe sanitary standards and does not wear a mask. The technology has also been used to count the participants who enter and leave the fair.
